LD13 Leadership Team
From a successful career in hospitality management and a 2nd volunteer career in non-profit leadership, Terry came out of retirement after the 2017 Women's March in Washington DC, determined to make a difference. She lives in Buckeye with her spouse, Barbara. They raised five children together and now enjoy spending time with their ten grand children. When not working to build Democratic leaders in their home community, travel and geocaching are favorite pastimes.
Barb has always had a fundamental interest in politics; her first sit-in was against the Vietnam War. In Arizona, Barb campaigned for Democrats during the 1970,'s and '80's. She is a Deputy Registrar and just completed work with the Maricopa County Special Elections Board. She is retired after a multi faceted career as hotel general manager and 15 years as a Facilities Manager. Barb and Terry have five children and ten grands. They enjoying traveling and geocaching as time permits.
1st Vice Chair
Michelle is a retired Air Force veteran who grew up in Buckeye. She returned home after service to be near her family. She got involved in her local community by volunteering for Buckeye City Council resident advisory groups and representing her community at the Arizona Corporation Commission in a utility rate case. She also ran for Az Senate in the 2018 election. Michelle likes to hike with her husband, Michael, and their dog Sarge.
Alisa sPARKIA Moore
Alisa is a retired attorney and mediator who served for many years as a communications specialist in California higher education. She and her husband John have an adult son living in Las Vegas. They have lived all over the country because of his work as a newspaper editor. Alisa is a dedicated, life-long Democrat excited about helping turn Arizona blue. Her spare time is given to reading, movies, genealogy research, and scrap-booking. "Our time is now!"
2nd Vice Chair
Woody has a long history of involvement in Arizona politics at both the state and city level. He was the Chair of the Arizona Apraiser’s Coalition and the Vice-Chair Maricopa Association of Governments. He got involved locally on the Litchfield Park Planning and Zoning Commission, then was elected the Mayor of Litchfield Park. Woody now serves on the Maricopa County Special Health Care District Board of Directors.
Irene moved to Goodyear in 2016 following a 28 year career as a bilingual teacher. Seeing the direction our state and country was heading, she decided to get involved and bring her experience as an educator to the party. She became a Precinct Committeeperson for Pebble Creek. She also also serves as a State Committeeperson on behalf of our district. She likes to spend time with her family here in Arizona and abroad.
